Hi, I’m Joseph Franklin-Willis. I grew up in Box, Wiltshire and I'm still enjoying the countryside. As a young adult I studied Stonemasonry at the world-renowned Bath College and completed an advanced Level 3 course in 2020 whilst in apprenticeship with local Master Mason Niall Hemmings. Working closely with other mentors and masters of the trade I have learned and practised traditional and modern techniques to stone carving, fixing and everything in between. I have worked on a wide variety of projects on my own and also with a number of different teams; I'm now lucky enough to run my own little established business. I’m a fully-certified professional ready to tackle anything from creative construction and walling projects to minor repair jobs.
Stone as a building material is not only amazingly durable but also an eco friendly option. It is a sustainable building material and I pride myself on using recycled or upcycled stones where possible. Stone also easily adds value and class to any home or room when fitted by an expert. Joe has completed a variety of work for us as we extensively renovated our cottage and landscaped our garden. He has turned his expert hand and attention to walling, letter carving, a bespoke garden carving, as well as the installation of a reclaimed stone fireplace.
